The letter of the GS is well drafted. A little stress can be given to the recommendations of 6th CPC equalizing the pay of the stenographers of Secretariat and field unit. Further, the model recruitment rules for field unit published by DOP&T is nothing but creating deviation of that recommendation. We should oppose it tooth and nail. Such letters to be addressed by all the G.S. of Stenographers Union of Central Government Departments. They should not be in deep slumber leaving it to CAICGSA. Every Association to stand and oppose it.
